Thr truth about UNIMAS.

Assalamualaikum.

I hope the picture I'm posting here gonna clear things out about Semenanjung people perception's on Sabah, Sarawak and Borneo as a whole. Sometimes, I feel like these Semenanjung people are too proud of living in the Wast part of Malaysia. It's like they're the only ones who are blessed with modernization, and being able to live perfectly in a stone house (rumah batu, geddit?). But when Sabah or Sarawak is being mentioned, spontaneously they will ask on quite a stupid question, such as, "Are they living in a tree house?" or "Do they wear only the underwears?". Seriously people, are you that dumb enough not to know well about your OWN country or do you don't care enough about the other parts of Malaysia? Stop portraying yourself as an idiot, period.


Anyway, I'm going to write alternately in English or bahasa, depending on my ability and skills. Sebab kadang-kadang tengah tulis laju-laju (or in my case, taip laju-laju) tiba-tiba terlupa that one word yang biasa digunakan, memang boleh potong stim nak praktis English. Memang aku mudah putus asa. Dan aku juga mudah mengalah. And these two habits are not good for me. In fact, boleh menjatuhkan kot? Bukan kot lagi dah, memang YA! :O




So here's the picture. About UNIMAS. A place I used to live and study there. Meeting new friends, some are awesome, some are not. Some menyakitkan hati macam nak mati sampai sekarang terkenang-kenang -____- But the awesome friends remain, yet yang biasa-biasa tu sekadar buat meramaikan rakan-rakan di FB. Bunyi kedengaran kejam tetapi setakat baca status mereka tapi no response, no contact what-so-ever, aku pun keseganan nak mengaku kawan. Mungkin saudara sesama Islam, kot? ;P


I hope this picture will make you realize that UNIMAS or Sarawak and Sabah is not that rural okay? Bukan kolot pon. Malahan dia sama je macam other states kat West Malaysia. Kalau namanya bandar, memanglah hype dan urban tempatnya, kalau namanya kampung, takkanlah kau still expect modernization? So jangan jadi judgemental or berat sebelah sangat. Or simply said, janganlah menunjukkan kebodohan. Agak-agak tak tahu pasal Borneo, kajilah pasal pulau tu. Korang kan suka Google? Kalau Google retis-retis boleh, tapi nak Google pasal negara sendiri tak mahu? Sedih aku tengokkan gaya macam tu tsk tsk.

P.S: Aku rasa Sarawak awesome dengan kek lapis mereka. Dan keharmonian mereka hidup secara majmuk dan berbilang kaum, etnik dan agama :')
